"Well you know what they say Mr. Dinkler. If we don't go to bed , Santa will never arrive."

Jo Collins appears in pictorials in the April 1965, May 1966 and December 1979, issues, on the cover in August 1965and as the PMOY in a pictorial inside.
It was Jo who delivered, in person, the first issue of the 2nd Battalion's Bravo Bulls' lifetime Playboy subscription to Lieutenant Jack Price while he recovered in a field hospital during the Vietnam War.
Jo also appeared, as herself,in Francis Ford Coppola's 1979 movie "Apocalypse Now ". In it she naturally portrays a Playmate taking part in a United Service Organization's tour to entertain the troops during the Vietnam War. Something that she did for real - so much so that she earned the nickname “G. I. Jo”.
Ian Fleming was an English author who wrote a few books that met with a measure of success and that ultimately were made into films. He died on 12 August 1964 from a heart attack.
