Bruno Bernard sold the photo of Dolores to the Baumgarth Calendar Company who in turn sold it to Hugh Hefner. He got a few of the early Playmate photos from them. Dolores didn't know that she'd been a Playmate until 1979. Her son Steve saw her centerfold in the January Issue and told her.
